The concept was envisioned by two seasoned professionals with loads of experience in their respective fields. They met each other during their classes at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
There is always a dearth of trained professionals on hot and niche technologies and companies struggle to hire and train fresh graduates on those technologies. This also involves cost and time. The fresh graduates cannot be deployed directly until they are trained in their respective technologies. The education-employability gap always exists.
